I was given the option to continue meds and convert to an IUI (which is what I was thinking would be the best option) or stop the meds and start a estrogen/progesterone to stimulate the receptors on my ovaries in order to lead in to a new cycle.
I am electing to convert to an IUI because this was to be my last IVF locally.
I'm in the midst of a quick cry due to disappointment and hormones... but I've already contacted CCRM to get the ball rolling. By my estimation I'll head out there for initial testing at the end of July.
Happy 4th everyone!!
Bleh! Canceled cycles are the WORST.
ReplyDeleteShit. I am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteUGH! How frustrating! So sorry
ReplyDeletesorry it's been a trying time for you.
ReplyDeleteThat's total crap but I hope the IUI brings you a nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you've hit another speedbump. It's so frustrating. I'm thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear this. I wish you the best for the IUI.
ReplyDeleteDamn it! That just stinks, especially (like you said) you didn't want to take the last month of BCPs.
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic you've already started the process of going to CCRM. Despite the cxl'd cycle, you are still moving forward.
When are your friends coming to celebrate all the big birthdays?? That will be so much fun :)
Sorry you got such disappointing news. :( I hope that everything from this point on goes smoothly, from the IUI to switching to a new clinic.
ReplyDeleteLame! Why did they do BCP if you didn't do it last time? UGH how frustrating! Good luck, hopefully you won't need the next IVF!
ReplyDeleteLife is not being fair to you. I am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteGrr, I hate when they put us on BCP when we know our ovaries won't bounce back. So frustrating. I am glad you have a new plan!!
ReplyDeleteAs another single, I follow your blog. Unfortunately I got oversuppressed my cycle too and didn't want to do the dumb BCPs because I got blood clots on them before. Live and learn! Fingers crossed the IUI is fruitful!
ReplyDeleteO.M.G. Are you serious??? This really sucks, but it sounds like you already have a great plan for going forward.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, that sucks!
ReplyDeleteThat seriously blows! I think making the decision to convert to IUI was a smart way not to loose a cycle. I've heard great things about CCRM so I think your plan is spot on. Keeping my fingers crossed from you!
ReplyDeleteTrust me I know the cancelled feeling!! I am beginning to feel like a night time drama on ABC! Know that this is for the best and I pray the CCRM is your answer but hey, you never know...this IUI could do the trick. My fingers are crossed!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sorry. I have one blogger friend who was devastated to have her IVF cycle converted to an IUI and then ended up with twins. So here's hoping you could be another "urban legend" like her. ;-)
ReplyDeleteNot good news to read. Have a big cry. Keep hopes up with that IUI. I hope ccrm is not needed.
ReplyDeleteStunning, Fantastic its looks so astounding. Much obliged to you for sharing this article and keep doing awesome. Best Laminate Flooring
